Our Mission
The Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families of Sonoma & Marin serves eligible Native American families living in Sonoma and Marin County. Our TANF program provides essential tools and services that foster and empower Native families to achieve self-sufficiency.

We focus on the four purposes of the TANF program
- Provide assistance to needy families so that children may be cared for in their own homes or in the homes of relatives
- End the dependence of needy parents on government benefits by promoting job preparation, work and marriage
- Prevent and reduce out of wedlock pregnancies and establish goals to prevent pregnancies
- Encourage the formation and maintenance of two parent families

TANF Youth Program
This program implements activities and provides resources necessary to enhance the cultural, social, emotional and educational needs of Native youth, families and the communities in which they live. We offer the following programs for eligible Native youth:
- Summer Programs are designed to focus on ages 8-17.
- College and Career Planning for youth ages 14-17.
- After School Program is designed to provide academic support for grades 3rd - 6th and 7th - 12th.
